Stylin’ on those slicks

It’s not enough to have the wind in your hair and the bugs in your teeth while pedaling the PCH on your favorite roadie (who talks like that?), you gotta have the cute threads to boot.

I can’t remember where I saw the link to SkirtSports, but I’m glad I did. Founded by a professional tri-gal, Nicole DeBoom, SkirtSports is kicky, comfy and quality. Certainly something to consider for your daily gear.

Others as an Inspiration

Recently, I was tooling around the web and found a blog (Fat Girl On a Bike) that is very much what most of ours are — a diary of sorts. Here is what I am doing, here is what others are saying, here is a bit of advice, etc.

What really caught my eye was her triathalon schedule. This listed her goal events and completed events. I was floored, she was doing one tri a month! At first, I was impressed because she was heavy and not letting that stand in her way. But it only took me a few seconds to realize that most athletes have a lesser schedule. Again, I was floored.
