About Cys and Blogging For A Cure

We all have a dream, don’t we?

My dream is to make a difference, no matter how small.

As some of you may know, my parents and their accomplishments against all odds have profoundly affected my life. One key lesson I learned from them is no matter how poor you are or how bad you have it, you can always help someone. (I believe the phrase they used was “even if you have a crumb, you can share that crumb with another person”.)

I founded World Without Borders and through the work of our volunteer teams, we provided distance education and a safe, well lit place on the internet for one and all.

We created the Mac-A -Wish foundation that provided refurbished computers to children with disabilities and terminal illnesses to continue their education via the internet, as well as set up learning centers for job and life skills.

Our BNI4Success, Los Angeles Region of BNI proudly brings an annual Rally for a Cure charity golf tournament to the public to raise funds and breast cancer awareness.

And now, I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I hope you’ll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress, while following my blog of trials and tribulations!.

I will be cycling ONE HUNDRED MILES (that’s right, me!) in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team. I am asking your support to help me raise my goal of $5018.00 by donating online at: http://www.active.com/donate/tntgla/cysbronner

Why not pledge $118? That’s $1 for each mile of the ride and 18 more for life (chai)

i found your blog on blogcatalog when i was looking for others blogging about cancer (like i am)… i just wanted to thank you for all of the work you’ve done! i was recently diagnosed with hodgkin’s lymphoma, my mom had breast cancer 10 years ago, and my little brother had osteosarcoma and ewings sarcoma 5 & 8 years ago. it’s wonderful to read about someone who has done so much to raise money and help children (mac-a-wish is amazing – my little brother would have loved something like that when he was in the hospital – he missed almost an entire year of school and was taught by my mother)

    again, thank you so much
