How Important Is An Energy Drink?

100 Miles is just a start towards the future.

I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training. To start, I got out an old bike that had been left behind from a group garage sale that my BNI chapter did a few years back. (more…)

Biker SigAlert! Cys is on the Road.
If you’ve ever checked the Caltrans Real Time Traffic page there’s little chance that you could ever be prepared for noon time traffic on Wilshire blvd … on a bike. I’ve grown up here, drive here daily and still can’t believe I made it through.
This is something I will never do again unless I am training in the art of brutal self defense against a bus or artillery of SUVs.
I’ve certainly decided that running my errands on my bike may be an enjoyable way to get used to being on a bike again but completely worthless for my Team in Training efforts.

Eat Your Veggies, Lower Your Risk
One carrot a day has enough beta-carptene to lower the risk of cancer, particularly lung cancer.
Other vegatables high in beta carotene are beets, broccoli, spinach, squash, sweet potatoes and tomatoes.
